Last time I wrote I said I would be posting more stories about what happened in Haiti- sorry I haven't followed through on that. I'll see what I can do this week about redeeming myself with that.
A lot of things have been going on this past year and a half since being home, so here's a quick list of some them:
1. Kelsea was called to Haiti for long-term, so now she lives in Haiti permanently (unless God decides to move her), AND SHE'S ENGAGED!! Congratulations Kelsea and Philipson!! (For more on their story, please check out Kelsea's blog: http://kelseacaswell.weebly.com, and/or their wedding website: http://www.honeyfund.com/wedding/haitiwedding).
2. Lindsey got married, and Amber is now engaged!! (Congratulations to you both, and to your men!! :) Grace and Peace to you all from Jesus!)
3. Bree, the IMPACT Director, is resigning at the end of this year to step into a new season of life, and ministry with Young Life. (Blessings to you and your family in this next stage of life, Bree, and thank you for your service to IMPACT, the Presbytery, and the Kingdom!)
4. Kerry & Joy Reeves are now living in the United States in a new season of life. God lead them to return to the states, and rose up 2 different American couples, Tom & Carolyn Hatten, and Dennis & Sara Cowley, to lead New Vision Ministries. (For more information on current news from Haiti and each of these couples, please check out their websites located under the 'Team & Calendar" tab at the top of the page.)
5. Elise is now at UCSB studying to be a teacher for elementary kids- a calling that she realized and fell in love with in Haiti while teaching 1st & 2nd grade! God is good! :) (Blessings to you, Elise!)
6. Elisa was called by God to India in Nov. 2012, and has been ministering to young girls from poor families in India ever since! For more information email her at: [email protected].
7. As for me- I'm moving to Seattle!! God lead me to go back to school upon returning from Haiti, and He called me to Seattle Pacific University! By His grace I said 'yes,' so I will be starting in the Fall!! :)
I will be in the Theology BA program as a Junior this year, working towards a degree focus of either: Global & Urban Ministries, Reconciliation Ministry, or Educational Ministry- LORD willing. Prayers and help moving are/will be appreciated!! :) Thanks in advance!
That's all for now. Thank you for visiting my site and reading everything. You are an amazing person, designed and created by God with a purpose, and both He, and I, love you so much! Praying for you dear one, and I pray you enjoy Jesus to the fullest today. Grace, peace, and joy to you from Jesus Christ, who is LORD.
Love,
Nikki
