"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should."

Hi guys!!
I posted the following note on facebook, so I figured for anyone wo is not my friend on there, I hope you read this and know that you are invited to the 6pm service as well!! :) I would love to spend my last weekend here with each of you :) New Hope Christian Fellowship has been my home church for almost 2 years now, and I have been beyond blessed to be included in this loving family and gathering of the bigger Body <3 I am so excited, and I wanted to invite you to join me as awesome college group, IMPACT, sends me off, as this will be my last weekend here. After the 6pm service, IMPACT meets at 7:45- there I will be sharing what we'll be doing in Haiti (both as an individual and as a team) and I'll be able to answer whatever questions you may have to the group as best as I can :) I want to say goodbye to each and every one of you, and I'm praying that this will also allow that chance. <3 Please RSVP whenever you can, or text me if you don't know where the church is :) I love you all, and I hope to see you before I leave <3 Much love, and keeping you in my prayers, Nikki Garcia <3 [email protected] I have so much to do, but wow, how much has already been done!! In the most impossible situations, God always shines through... He is so good, and I am amazed at what god has done in such a short amount of time. <3 Tomorrow I'll write more, but right now it's time for bed.
Phil. 4:13 Psalm 46.... specifically 46:10 <3 Matthew 6:33 Wow. It's crazy to say that. I move in 2 weeks... Not going to lie- there are moments where I kind of freak out, and there are other times where I'm completely at peace with it...
It's really starting to hit me that I have training in 10 days. 10 whole days.... I was thinking the other day though- what am I going to be doing in the few days I have left to see people...?? It's been hard honestly... and I've been really scared. I'm scared I'm going to fail, but my biggest fear is that I am going to have to do this alone. Prov. 3:5 This weekend I met my team. They are so awesome!! I love what God is doing!! He is soooo good, and is doing amazing things here and in Haiti.
Prov. 3:5-6, and Deut. 31:6 I've never had a blog before, so I'm not sure what to write, or how these things should ever start. I guess I should probably start first with 'hi.' REALLY what should come first though is this: 'God is good.' He is amazing. We get to be loved by the creator of both heaven and earth. Sometimes I forget, and I need a little reminder. Yeah, He created the stars, and He created you and I. Pretty amazing? I think so too :) So, I have to say that if you had asked me last week what I would have been doing today at 1:30 in the morning, I probably would have replied with some thing like 'sleeping.' Little did I know that I would be be writing this blog to you, getting to share the love of Jesus Christ right now, in this way- all because He's sending me to Haiti. It's really starting to sink in that we're leaving on 3 weeks, and things are setting down that I'm really going to be gone.... in 3 weeks!!! Ahhh!!. hahaha anyway, I'm super tired but i figured I would come on and at least say welcome to my page, and i'm so excited to share this journey with you all! <3 Please be praying for me and thank you for supporting me. I seriously and dearly love you all. <3 |
AuthorWelcome! My name is Nicole Garcia, and this is a tiny snapshot of my adventurous life. I am 26 years young, an ENFP on the Myers-Briggs personality chart, and am loved by Jesus. I like Cheez-Its, Star Trek (everything minus Enterprise), Pinterest, Swing Dancing, Country Music, reading & studying God's Word, prayer nights, Wine & Cheese nights with my girls, and action movie nights with my male friends. I got to go to Haiti for 6 months on mission for Him, and experienced and learned a lot. I am glad you are here, and would love to hear from you if you have any questions, comments, or concerns! Thank you for coming by, and I hope you enjoy yourself while you're here. I pray also that you fall deeply in love with the wonderful man & God who is Jesus Christ, so you may know His true joy and peace that He lavishes upon us all. Archives
